Success Story: One can take inspiration from the story of Civil Services Exam 2014 topper Ira Singhal. For a common man, Ira Singhal’s story seems like a miracle. Despite being physically disabled, Ira is the first contestant from the country to top the general category of UPSC. Ira Singhal is known today as a committed, dedicated and hardworking officer.
Education
Ira Singhal is from Meerut district. She did her schooling from Sophia Girls School in Meerut and Loreto Convent School in Delhi. After this he completed B.Tech from Netaji Subhash Institute, Delhi. He holds an MBA from the Faculty of Management Studies, Delhi.
Worked at Coca Cola and Cadbury
Ira worked as an intern at the Coca-Cola Company. Apart from this, he also worked in Cadbury, but he was not satisfied working there, so he quit the job and decided to fulfill his childhood dream.
Filed a suit against the commission
Ira appeared in the UPSC exam in 2010, 2011 and 2013 and got the IRS post all the three times. He has locomotor disability due to which he was not allowed to join the job. Due to which he decided to file a suit against the commission. After many difficulties, she won the case in 2014 and was selected for the post of IRS.
Success at the age of 31
When Ira was 31 years old, she cleared UPSC. One thing is clear from this that if we want to do any work and prepare for it with full dedication and hard work, no matter how many difficulties come our way, no one can stop us from achieving success in that work.
