Eligibility Criteria for GDS Recruitment

Candidates applying for the GDS, BPM, and ABPM/Dak Sevak positions must have completed their 10th standard (Secondary School Examination) with passing marks in Mathematics, the local language, and English from a recognized board of school education by the Government of India/State Governments/Union Territories in India.

Applicants must be between 18 to 40 years of age as of July 15, 2024. Age relaxation is applicable for candidates belonging to reserved categories as per the government norms:

• SC/ST: 5 years
• OBC: 3 years
• PWD: 10 years

Selection Process

The selection of candidates for the India Post Office GDS, BPM, and ABPM/Dak Sevak positions will be based on the merit list generated from the marks obtained in the 10th standard examination. There will be no written test or interview for the selection process.
